Bringing value and appreciation to create a meaningful mentorship experience
In this episode I chat with Melvin Suen about the value of mentorship and how it accelerates growth and learning for everyone.
Melvin has always been fascinated with professional development, specifically mentorship. Not only has it helped him navigate his own career, but it is also an area where he has a natural affinity to share and add value for the betterment of others.
This has manifested into a number of projects and roles over the last decade, ranging from coaching athletics to student development to start-up organizations.
For example, he created the Management Consulting Alumni Program, a skills development program for students looking to develop the skills needed to secure and thrive in a consulting career. This program has sent students to top organizations such as McKinsey, Bain & Co., Boston Consulting Group, Deloitte, PwC, Accenture, etc.
If you've ever wondered why mentorship matters, or how you can develop this type of relationship, this episode is perfect for you.
