At a mastermind event earlier this week, I got the chance to listen to @hamzak speak about solving problems instead of starting businesses.
"I want to start something" - a common phrase as the rise of startups show no slowing down and the cost to doing so continue to fall.
Instead, Hamza suggested to 'find an idea where you are BEST equipped to solve that problem'.
Such a simple yet profound thought that I overlooked for many years. Not only does solving a problem inherently lead to creating real value (assuming it's a real problem), but the notion of 'being best equipped to solve it' narrows in on the importance of execution.
This may lead to starting a business, or jumping on an existing rocket ship. Regardless, pursuing this opportunity will ensure the most impact created along with the long list of other benefits like developing your craft, being fulfilled etc.
